UGANDA : Can Any Team Beat UCU Lady Canons?

The Airtel National Basketball league first round came to an end last weekend with defending champions, UCU Lady Canons finishing top without dropping a single game.
They look unstoppable and are poised to bag their fourth championship in five years. Certainly the Lady Canons haven't won the Airtel National basketball 2012 title yet but from the look of things, it looks like a formality.
Every single game in the first round was a walk in the pack perhaps with the exception of the game against KCCA Leopards. They struggled in the three quarters but in the last quarter, they changed the tide winning 51-46. But it hasn't always been this easy against Leopards.
Earlier this year during the East and Central Inter Cities Basketball Tournament at Makerere and YMCA, the Leopards had an easier time against the Canons beating them twice. For this, many wrote off the Canons, saying they had lost the plot. What these critics failed to realize was that this was a Lady Canon's side that was still recovering from the post season layoff and they weren't healthy.
In the 11 first round outings, KCCA scored 98 points more compared to the Canons 744 but the latter conceded the least points, an average of 25.5 per game compared to KCCAs' 34.2. The Lady Canons sit on top of the table with 22 points, one ahead of KCCA and have gone 33 games unbeaten since the second round of last season.
Even teams like A1 Challenge which have mounted a possible 'challenge' can't match; the Lady Canons are simply too good. The question now is: Can anyone win a game against the Lady Canons?
The answer is apparent - you know you are good when analysts compare you to the most successful team in Ugandan basketball, the Lady Bucks. They won the title a record seven times.
