KENYA : Thunder fails to travel to Mombasa
Updated on 21/07/12 | By BRIAN AYIEKO
Thunder basketball team will not be travelling to Mombasa to honor their Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League match against KPA.
According to Griffins Ligare the team captain, this is because the self supported team could not raise the required finances to facilitate the team travel,
“We don’t have the money to travel to Mombasa. It is very obvious that we would not like to forfeit our match but there is nothing we can do.”
“As per now we don’t know what the Federation will do, I just hope that we have an amicable solution that will be fair to both teams.”
Thunder was to play Kenya Ports Authority on Saturday 4.00pm at the KPA Gymnasium, Mombasa.
