KENYA : Munyama tournament crucial for KCB
Updated on 14/07/12 | By BRIAN AYIEKO
Kenya Commercial Bank basketball coach Morris Shitsama has pointed out the importance of the Tom Munyama tournament for the side. KCB currently lead the standings of the KBF Premier League in the men’s category going unbeaten for eight straight matches and have an eye at the premier title at the end of the season.
However, the team has not been in league action for close to a month and the tournament will help to gauge their form at the moment.
Speaking to michezoafrika.com Shitsama said that the tournament was crucial especially for the players, “Having not played any competitive match for so long affects a team’s form so the tournament will help us to know where we are. The fact that we have not yet lost any match this season may make the players relaxed and this is what I do not want.”
The tournament will kick off on Saturday from 9.00 am at the Railways Sports Club and the Upper Hill School.
