KCB Lions over the weekend extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches with a 74-65 win over Defence Forces side Ulinzi Warriors in a KBF premier league match at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
The Lion’s ,coached by Shitshama whose aim was to finish the first leg unbeaten, are now close to actualizing their dream with two matches remaining on the card. KCB will play bottom placed Lakeside next weekend at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
Despite the loss, Ulinzi’s James Omune had a great game managing 23 points for his side followed by point guard Mike Tanui who had 14 points. Omune was also brilliant on rebounds denying the Lions attack with 8 defensive rebounds and securing 2 in the attacking rebounds.
Former Warrior Ancent Wafula who has been in top form for the bankers anguished his former teammates posting a total of 20 points.
The Warriors have managed only one win out of their six matches and are placed 11th on the table standings with 7 points.
