KENYA : Kenya U-18 through to African championships
The Kenya ladies U-18 Basketball team on Sunday overturned results beating their hosts Rwanda to qualify for the African youth championships that will be held in Mozambique. The ladies lost the first match 54-50 but recovered to win the second match 71-58 on Sunday to qualify on better points.
The men’s teams failed to shine past the hosts as they lost both matches 68-29 on Saturday and 94-38 on Sunday and will therefore wait for next year to get another chance.
Only two teams -Kenya and Rwanda- took part in the Zone 5 championships played in Kigali and as such played each other twice.
