KENYA : Eagle Wings delight in Kakamega
Updated on 22/07/12 | By DENNIS MACHIO
Eagle Wings on Sunday morning got their claws back mauling their hosts Western Delight 65-25 in a match that was staged at the Kakamega Police Canteen. This was a rather poor performance by the Delights who at some point were enjoying supremacy at the helm of the KBF league table.
Powered by a super double performance from Silalei Shani and Sande Evelyn who both posted 14 points, Wings were unstoppable as they fired past their hosts reigning supremacy and pinning their opponents to less than ten points in all the four quarters (13-07, 19-03,11-07 and 21-08.)
“Our recent loss to KPA was a big wakeup call and we prepared well for this match because we knew the quality in the Western Delight team. However, it was not as heavy match because they also had a bad day. We are encouraged by the good win and we will keep the consistency.” Said team member Samba Mjomba who posted 12 points during the match.
Agnes Oundo (08) and Victoria Ondiso (04) had the best scores for Western Delight.
