KENYA : Bankers perched at the helm of NBA log

Bankers Barclays and Equity lead in the Zone ‘A’ and Zone ‘B’ of the NBA League respectively with the both teams enjoying an unbeaten run.
Barclays’ record of being unbeaten came as a virtue that all the matches that Kenyatta University Pirates’ had taken part in the league had been cancelled.
KU was the only team that had defeated the bankers. The Pirates were promoted to the top league Division One after the withdrawal of Kenya Navy.
Equity Bank on the other hand has won all the 12 matches played so far.

ZONE A

In the Zone ‘A’ Barclays which has 22 points is followed by Little Prince and Don Bosco respectively with both teams having 20 points from 11 matches. Student sides JKUAT JUJA Campus and Zetech College are at position 4 and 5 respectively with the JUJA side having 18 points and Zetech a point behind them on 17.
Athi River based Saints are placed 6th with 16 points while Dolphins and Neo Sasa Morans come in at 7 and 8 sharing 15 points.
Upper Hill and King Deaf are at the bottom of the Zone ‘A’ standings with Upper Hill having 13 points from 10 matches while King Deaf has 11 points 11 matches winning only 1 match.

ZONE B

In the Zone ‘B’ Madaraka based students Strathmore Blades follow Equity with 22 points losing only to the leaders Equity. Legacy, Multi Media University and Old Pirates all have 20 points from 8 wins and 4 losses and they follow the Blades respectively.
Kenya Polytechnic is in the 7th position with 17 points from 12 matches followed by Mt.Kenya University (16 points) and Daystar University (15 points). Heroes’ comes in at 10th with the same number of points as Daystar.
The bottom three teams are Our Lady Queen of Peace, Friends of Basketball (Kenya) and JKUAT Karen Campus. They have 14, 13 and 12 points respectively. The league which is currently in its 2nd leg resumes at the Railways Sports Club.
