UGANDA : Yet again, Power outlast Warriors

It took DMark Power more than two quarters to get their transition going in the revamped Airtel National Basketball League.
When they did, rivals Warriors, like many times before, had no answers. Power recovered from a slow start to clinch the biggest game on the local calendar 71-68 at YMCA court on Friday.
The two-time defending champions had trailed until Isaac Afidra, 12 points and nine rebounds, nailed two big shots from downtown to tie the game at 53-up in the third.
Thereafter, guard Emmanuel Enabu penetrated for his only points and the lead.
“I think we responded well when we were down. We were also faster,” Power’s Jimmy Enabu, who scored 17 points, said. Two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) Ben Komakech’s game-high 19 points and four steals set the tone for Power’s sweet triumph.
