UGANDA : Eagles hope to continue on track to recovery

Miracle Eagles and Vegetarian, two teams in the bottom three of the Airtel National Basketball League, clash at YMCA court today. However, while Vegetarian remain winless in six since promotion, their opponents are firmly on the mend. Eagles have two victories in seven games but their roster is much deeper than when the season started amid a mass exodus of players.

They are not yet out of the woods but the narrow 47-46 victory over surging Ndejje University Angels last Friday confirmed their progress.
Donald Ssali, Ronald Bajunga and Tanzanian Mohammed Yusuf have contributed greatly to the renaissance. Reports indicate that former Charging Rhino star Tom Ocamuringa, often a referee in recent years, will take the coaching reins after Joe Burua’s one-year stint ended.
Team manager Chris Kyebambe couldn’t confirm this.
