KCB Lions basketball team coach Morris Shitsama has asserted that his side is almost on the verge of achieving their goal of winning all their matches in the first leg of the Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League in the men’s category.
KCB are yet to taste defeat in the league having won all their 7 matches and on the way to their impressive run upsetting 2011 champions CO-OP bank. They currently have 14 points after they crashed Mennonites 89-32 over the past weekend in a one sided match played at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
Speaking to michezoafrika.com Shitsama was pleased with his side’s performance indicating that they harbor no plan of backing down,
“When the league started we had a target of winning all our matches and we are about to achieve our goal. I shall ensure this happens by keeping the boys on toes and ensuring they keep roaring throughout the season.” He said.
The coach added to say that to achieve this, they need to keep their mental character in focus and to keep training hard since everyone is working hard to pull them down.
On any team that he feels is a threat to their title challenge Shitasama only reiterated what he said at the start of the league, “We shall be taking one team at a time.”
KCB have 3 more matches to play before the end of the 1st leg of the premier league.
