UGANDA : Warriors light up Heaters, Falcons humble Saints
Kyambogo Warriors jumped to 14-0 run right from tip-off to blow out Heaters 84-44 yesterday evening at YMCA. Warriors (5-0) went into double digit lead early in the first period and did not relinguish it to the end of the game. Heaters (3-2) posted an ugly offensive first half scoring a mere 13 points on their way to the second straight skid.Meanwhile BLUE CUBE Falcons saw off Rez Life Saints 71-44. This was Falcons' second straight win after falling to KIU. Falcons (4-1) opened the game with a 10-0 run and took the first quarter 18-8. Edwin Katerega (18 points) slammed it down to culminate the drive from his own half to open up the third quarter. Saints (0-5) came with in 5 with 2:10 to play in the third but did not come any closer than that all the way to their fifth straight slip of the season.
Douglas Uwereza and Steven Mwesigye scored 16 each for Falcons, Steven Omony added 14 points and big man Philp Ameny's 8 points went along with 12 boards. Rez Life was led by William Odongo with 12 points and Dan Jjuko scored a point less.
