UGANDA : Kyebambe hoping for Ndejje return
Two weeks have passed since Chris Kyebambe’s fall took some of the gloss from a fighting display by the Miracle Eagles in the 88-98 loss to DMark Power
The Eagles’ player-cum-team manager clattered the floor while contesting a rebound with Jimmy Enabu and blacked out needing urgent medical attention at Mulago Hospital that Friday night.
Kyebambe, fully recovered from the blackout, resumed training this week and is expected to play against Ndejje University Angels in a Fuba League game at YMCA court today.
“I have a slight strain in my shoulder and pelvis but I think I will play. At least I can shoot the ball again,” Kyebambe told Daily Monitor before yesterday’s practice sessionHe must be hoping his teammates show the same fighting spirit seen against the champions. Eagles, in troubled waters after their first playoff appearance last year, played with freedom offensively, attempting shots as often as they could.
