NIGERIA : Zenith Basketball League - First Deepwater Open Training for Final Phase
Defending champion of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) organised Zenith Bank Women Basketball League First Deepwater Basketball Club commences her training ahead the jump-ball of the final phase of the league set to dunk-off on May 31 through June 9.
The Coach Lateef Erinfolami tutored side is set to continue from where it stopped at the end of the first and second phases of the league with a hundred percent record.
The Oil & Gas ladies are gunning for a third straight title after defeating it arch rival and former title holder First Bank basketball club in the first two phases in Kaduna and Ilorin thus making the final phase a done-deal.
The club thus extended her winning streak to 32 league games from the second phase of last season.
Club Chairman, Babatunde Babalola has urged the players to go all out and complete what they started during the first phase by staying unbeaten at the buzzer on June 9.
Babalola says handsome reward awaits the players and their handlers at the end of the season but urge them to carry on to the FIBA Africa Zone-3 elimination slated for Monrovia, Liberia later in the year.
