RWANDA : KBC Win Three On Three Tournament
KBC grabbed a narrow 10-9 win over Rusizi in the finals of the new 3 on 3 tournament at Amahoro indoor court on Wednesday evening.National team's forward Fiston Muhire, Burundian International Cedric Sinarinzi and Parfait Muvunyi were on target as the league champions got the narrow win.
Three on three tournament is a new competition meant to popularise the game of basketball and also spread messages about prevention of malaria in Nyagatare and Bugesera.
In the women's category National University of Rwanda was no match for APR as the military side ran amok with 16-6 win.
For their efforts, KBC walked away with Rwf 250.000 while NUR and third placed KIE got Rwf 200.000 and 150.000 respectively.
The tournament and the just ended playoffs were sponsored by Imbuto Foundation in their campaign to use sports in fighting malaria.
