RWANDA : APR to play Espoir in Playoffs opener

APR begin their playoffs title defense this Saturday against Espoir.
After failing to reclaim the national basketball league title from Kigali Basketball Club (KBC) last season, the military side is eager to return to winning ways with Coach Cliff Owuor promising to sweep all trophies this year.
“Last year, we didn’t have a good season and we want to check that this time round,” the former Kenyan international said.
KBC will take on KIE while APR will play National University of Rwanda (NUR) in the women’s category.
This year’s edition has been bankrolled by Imbuto foundation as part of their national campaign to fight against Malaria.
The winner will pocket Rwf0.3m while the first and second runners-up will settle for Rwf0.25m and Rwf0.2m respectively.
