NIGERIA : First Deepwater Begins Camp Ahead New Season

Defending champion of the Zenith Bank sponsored Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) organised women league First Deepwater basketball club has commence preparation ahead of the first phase of the league slated for March.
The club recently completed a three-day screening exercise which saw the return of some of her former players, such as Magdalene Ukato who crossed back to the Oil & Gas ladies from First Bank basketball club. The team according to the club's team manager Abayomi Adeeyo is set to retain the league it has dominated in the last two seasons.
The team manager also informed that the club's parent body First Deepwater Discovery Limited is open to new innovation that will propel the club to greater heights in Nigeria and Africa basketball. The club trains daily under the watchful eyes of coaches Lateef Erinfolami and Shola Ogunade.
Among the new players snapped up by the Nigerian champions include Rashidat Ahmed from Sunshine Angels basketball club of Akure, Chinwe Okorie formerly of FCT Queens basketball club of Abuja and Emmanuella Awobajo from Nigeria Immigration basketball club of Kano among others.
