Kaduna State owned basketball club, KADA Stars have revealed they are prepared for the commencement of the new season which is expected to dunk-off this weekend in both the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences.

Coach of KADA Stars, Sani Turi said his team was set for the new basketball league season. Speaking ahead the dunk-off, Turi said his team has since commenced training at the Murtala Square training ground in preparation for the new season. He said the boys are adapting well in order to make sure they emerge as one of the teams to represent the country in continental championship.
Turi also revealed that he has discovered some talented players from the grassroots who are hungry for success and ready to win honours. He said he will introduce them in the new season. "Our main target is to make ensure that we represent the country next year on the continental.
You saw how far we got last season; this term we want to improve on last season's performance and possibly win the league. We have discovered some new talented players which we are going to introduce into the league. To us, technically, we are set for the league," Turi stated.
On the effort of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) towards the league, Turi commended it for what he called "good work" in promoting the game in the country. He said the game is growing fast in Nigeria.
Speaking on what to expect from his players during the season, he said he has harped on discipline, dedication and determination both on and off the pitch in order to achieve the set goal.
