KENYA : Wings book final play-off date with KPA .
EAGLE Wings will meet reigning champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in the 2011 women’s play-off finals. Wings shut out United States International University (USIU) 85-54 in Game Two at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium. Wings had punished the 52-42 Game One the previous day. Led by three national team players, Wings had 23 points from Silalei Agalo, Samba Mjomba (20) and Angela Okoth (15) while Debrah Chan was the highest scorer for the losers with 14. In Game Two, USIU were down 19-40 at the break. At the Mombasa Sports Club, KPA dismissed Sprite Storms 42-32 as Joyce Makungu and Miriam Owuor combined for the dock women’s 17 points. Angela Luchivya posted the visitors 10. Reigning men champions Co-operative Bank of Kenya survived a KPA tide to nip the home side 64-61. Salim Ali shot 17 points, Peter Kiganya (15) and Titus Musembi who made the difference late in the game sunk 12. The lower division match at University of Nairobi “Terrorists” beat Nairobi Aviation College (NAC) 51-46. Bill Oketch bagged 14 and Brian Obimbo 12 for the victors. NAC had 16 from Ben Oluoch and 12 from Geoffrey Ssozi.
