Ulinzi Warriors have appealed against a decision to award Masinde Muliro University a walk over last weekend claiming there was total communication breakdown between their office and the basketball secretariat in charge of the fixtures.

According to Ulinzi Warriors coach Eliud Nzioka, “The confusion in the change of fixtures at the last minute is to blame for our predicament. We knew the match in Kakamega was to be played on Sunday 18th and that was the fixture we had. Apparently KBF changed the fixture when we were away in Burundi only to arrive at the match venue last week on Sunday to be told that our opponents had been awarded a walk over.”
The former champions will this weekend face Thunder at the Nyayo stadium gymnasium on Saturday afternoon in one of the six matches set for the weekend.
