Basketball in Africa

For basketball enthusiasts, it is a question they love to pose among themselves without ever reaching a conclusion. YMCA is the traditional home of the sport but Lugogo has been used because of its roof facility time and again. Now that Lugogo is close to opening, it won’t be long before Fuba reach out NCS to use the facility, particularly for the playoffs. Oddly, the smaller YMCA arena accommodates more people and gives basketball a somewhat natural feel. The bigger Lugogo arena takes in less numbers and, for traditionalists, is not as good as YMCA. Eitherway, Lugogo’s completion is good for the game. However it is time for Fuba to consider the long term option of building their own venue.
