Former women’s champions A1 Challenge beat Amazon Rhino 70-27 in the MTN-Fuba League on Saturday night to stay within touching distance of the leading pack.
Barbra Okot led the way with 12 points and Malena Rasmann added 11 as the 2005 champions outclassed Rhino in all four sessions (30-7, 15-7, 11-8, 14-5).

Joan Mochiruku was the only Rhino player in double figures, scoring 15 points.
In the men’s Division Two, Vegetarian beat visiting Gulu Hawks 58-49.
Vegetarian were equally dominant, out-scoring their opponents in all quarters (14-13, 16-11, 14-11, 14-11).
Vegetarian skipper Viney Jurua sunk 12 points while Lawrence Waliga added 15.
The Luzira-based side’s coach Simon Otine was contented with the result.
“I am happy with the result. We played well today,” Otine said.
