OLIVIER Muhizi sunk 8 of his 19 points in the last quarter to guide National University of Rwanda (NUR) to a 59-40 win over Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) last evening at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

NUR claimed the first quarter (13-10) but a lapse in concentration saw KIE back on top (27-20) at half time.
“It was clear that we had switched off after the first quarter so I told the boys to get their focus back and they did just that,” said NUR Coach, Charles Mushumba.

In the third quarter, NUR opened up a three-point lead (36-33) before stretching it to 19points in the final quarter.
It was a good comeback for the varsity side after last weekend’s loss to APR.
Eric Ngenzi and Cyrille Karimba topped KIE’s scoring charts with 16 and 15 points respectively.

In yesterday’s other game, Espoir returned to winning ways with a 72-48 victory over UGB.
