Basketball in Africa

It was fun galore over the weekend as the DStv Premier Basketball League as Week-6 produced fantastic results at both the Atlantic and Savannah conferences.

Playing at the at the Indoor Sports Hall of National Stadium Surulere Lagos, Union Bank set the Atlantic Conference on fire as they narrowly edged out Dodan Warriors of Lagos 79-75 in their first match before overcoming Ebun Comets 71-55 in their second game of the weekend.

Also, Delta Force of Asaba lost their second successive home game 67-82 to visiting Police Baton of Lagos on Saturday.
The Police Batons team which silenced the fans at the Asaba Township Stadium later suffered a shocking defeat on their trip to Royal Hoopers of Port Harcourt next day.
At the Savannah Conference, Niger Potters lost 58 - 74 at home to Kano Pillars with Plateau Peaks suffering same fate at home with a 47 - 63 point against Yelwa Hawks of Yobe.
Also, Bauchi Nets overpowered Kada Stars 82 - 71 while Immigration defeated Tapgun Rockets 84 – 76.
