NIGERIA : 2010 ACCM - Kano Pillars eye Cup glory
After placing fifth twice at the final round of the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men Nigeria DStv Premier League and FIBA Africa Zone-3 champion, Kano Pillars basketball club has set a target for itself in the final round of the 2010 edition of the champions cup holding in Cotonou, Benin Republic between December 9 to 19.
Pillars who recently shifted it camping to Kaduna has expressed it readiness to be a title contender when hostilities began next week.
Pillars Head Coach Sani Ahmed told www.fiba-afrique.org on telephone that the team is eyeing to play in the grand finale on December 19.
Our main objective at the moment is to fight for the African title and we know the task involve and we are prepared to give any team a run for their money and talents when the championship gets underway next week.
The players and the management of the team are tired of seeing us finishing fifth everytime and have all join force together to among the title contenders this time.
