EGYPT : Superleague Round 8: Al Ittihad defeats Shorta-Police in the closest game of the week
Al Ittihad managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79 over Shorta Police. But their fans expected easier game. Al Ittihad (8-0) has a solid series of four victories in a row. They stay at first position in group A. Shorta-Police who is 3-6 is currently in fourth place as they suffered their sixth loss. Al Ittihad is looking forward to face league's second-placed Zamalek in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Shorta-Police will play against Sporting and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Very significant was Zamalek's (#2) 16-point home victory against one of their biggest challengers Gasco in group A 78-62. Zamalek (6-2) has a solid series of four victories in a row comparing to three consecutive losses by Gasco.
