LIBERIA : Nigeria to be the first to come to town for FIBA event….due in this Saturday
Authorities of the Liberia Basketball Federation have announced that Nigeria will be the first country to arrive in town for the up coming FIBA Africa men club championship.
According to LBF Secretary General Fred Pratt the Nigerians will touch Liberian soil this Saturday.
Mr. Pratt disclosed the West African country will be represented in the November showpiece by two teams, Royal Hoopers and Kano Pillars.
A high power 26 man delegation is expected from the Nigerians.
Mr. Fred Pratt has also told Star Sports an 18 man Togolese delegation is due in the country this Sunday ahead of the event.
He said the other teams are expected in early next week.
The preliminary rounds of the FIBA Africa men club championship will be hosted by Uhuru Kings.
As the date draws near, the organizers are still struggling to raise the needed capital to stage the event.
