Berkley v Nkumba
KCC v Falcons
KCC Lions players are set to walk out on their team and the FUBA men’s first division in protest against the club management, which they accuse of defaulting on their wages and allowances since the start of the season.
“We will not play our last three games,” guard Moses Okwera said yesterday.
“We had a meeting with the (team) management but nothing fruitful came out of it,” he added.
KCC are scheduled to face the Falcons today at YMCA but these developments point to a forfeit. In fact, even the Lions’ management will not try to dissuade the players from throwing today’s game.
“If that is what the players have decided, then there is nothing I can do,” said manager, Joy Olinga.
