Zone-III Qualifiers: Nigeria is getting stronger.

Nigeria strolled Saturday late afternoon to face Benin (76-47) in Day 4 of Zone III Qualifiers for Afrobasket 2011 and African games which are taking place in Lome, Togo.

Benin have not to be ashamed of this defeat so Nigeria was a notch above.

It only takes 5 minutes for the D'Tigers stalk their prey. Very applied with a defense more than aggressive, they limited Benin to 9 points against 22 at the end of the first quarter.

The level goes up a notch in the second quarter with a press defense stifles Benin and allows the mark by Nigerian cons. Just like Bukar Mohammed (10 points). The break occurs on the score of 37-16.

In the 3rd quarter they get away with intractable OMOWYA inside (he finished the game with 19 points and 10 rebounds leading scorer of the match).

With a lead of 34 points early in the fourth quarter (65-31), the match was folded although Benin twon the last quarter (16-11).

Final score 76-47 for Nigeria, which builds up in this tournament

Comments:
There are a lot of good players in Nigeria so no wonder why they are getting stronger.
