NIGERIA : D’Tigers Tackle Cote d’ Ivoire
Nigeria’s senior basketball team, D’Tigers, will this evening take on Cote d’Ivoire in a must-win match at the ongoing FIBA-Africa Zone III qualifiers in Lome, Togo.
Wale Joseph, reports that theCoach Sani Ahmed-tutored D’Tigers must win today’s game if their dream of hoisting the nation’s flag at the forthcoming FIBA-Africa Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire must come to pass.
D’Tigers, who lost 58-59 points to hosts, Togo yesterday must beat the Ivoriens, who have won their two games in the qualifiers. They defeated Togo and Benin Republic 53-46 and 81-57 points respectively to top the table.
D’Tigers beat Benin Republic 60-43 points in their first match. Togo will also take on Benin Republic later today.
