Players of the U-18 male basketball team of the country have expressed serious disappointment in local basketball authorities for their failure to settle their per diems.
The players said since their participation in the recently held FIBA Africa Zone III qualifier, they are yet to receive a dim from local basketball authorities.
The vice captain of the Team Napoleon Nyanfor said the lack of the money was causing financial problem for them.
He however clarified they would remain calm until their benefits were settled.
When contacted, the Secretary General of the Liberia Basketball Federation Fred Pratt confirmed the information but said all was being done to rescue the situation.
Mr. Pratt told Star Sports the LBF has submitted a budget containing the allowance of the players to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and was still awaiting a green signal.
