KENYA : Posta beat KCA moves up the league again
NAIROBI (Premier League) - Posta climbed back to the top of the premier league once again by beating Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University 67-55 at the KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka.
The Mailmen dislodged champions KCB Lions from top spot after the bankers had taken a brief lead with a 69-48 win over the same team the previous day. Posta, who led 29-21 at the break now have 18 points while Lions are lying third on 17.
William Ochieng led the scoring tally with 13 points while Joshua Orwe managed 12. The Students have found life rough in the top league and continue to struggled. They had 13 from Titus Musembi and 12 from Antonia Bwire.
Co-operative Bank of Kenya remain second with 18 points, trailings only on score difference following a 74-53 triumph over Strathmore University. Peter Kiganya scored 21 points and John Paul had 16. The Blades were pepped by Arthur Ameso who managed 18.
International Christian Center (ICC) posted a 92-73 win over United States International University (USIU). Both teams tied 20-20 and 22-22 in the first and third quarters. ICC's 14-6 second quarter run did the trick.Griffin Ligare collected 24 and James Omune added 21. Chris Mulumba made 14 for the Tigers.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) had a fruitful Nairobi tour when they won their second the beating 73-54 win over Lomboritz. Tony Okello posted 13 points with Musa Odari sinking 10.

Sprite Storms hit KCA 49-39 behind Mercy Wanyama's 15 and another 14 from Emma Nyakweba. Jill Muthoni scored 11 for KC. Mirriam Owuor was good for 18 points and Hilda Indasi grabbed 14 to guide KPA to a 45-30 win over Strathmore University. Faith Owich pepped the Swords with game high 25 points.
USIU Flames dosed Kenya Polytechnic University 67-40 wit Sajda Ahmed running away with 25 points while Linda Mpuchi nailed 12. Damaris Katuna was the losers toast hitting 11.
