KENYA : Osogo sparks KCB to victory
NAIROBI (Kenyan Premier League) - Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Lions beat Lomboritz 64-41 at the World Hope Centre on Sunday to remain at the top of the table.
New bankers signing Zaddock Osogo had 16 points while Dennis 'Dike' Opiyo added 13 for the reigning champions, while Charles Kituyi had a dozen to pace winless Lomboritz.
KCB top the league table with 15 points while Posta and Co-operative Bank of Kenya are second and third respectively on 14 and International Christian center (ICC) - who lost in Mombasa - have 13 to round out the top four.
Posta pipped University of Nairobi (UoN) 44-40, with William Ochieng and Fidel Delano combining for 21 of the mailmen's points. Brian Obimbo had nine to pace the students.
Co-op Bank whipped Blazers 86-50 behind Mark Mayieng's 16 points and Brian Busu's 13.
Meanwhile, in Mombasa, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) cruised past visiting International Christian Centre (ICC) 92-59. Dan Okwirri poured in a game-high 17, Musa Odari added 16 and Fred Otieno finished with 11.
Masine Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) handed Strathmore University Blades a 74-56 hammering at the Kakamega Police canteen courts.
Elsewhere, Kenya College of Accountancy University's (KCA) woes continued when they were thumped 47-29 by United States International University (USIU) Flames who were without the suspended Arou Chan.
In the only women's game, leaders Yana dismissed struggling KCA 52-25 in their best start ever to a season that has at the top of the table with only one loss.
