MTN-Fuba Women’s League giants, A-1 Challenge and KCC Leopards, come into their respective games at YMCA court, Wandegeya today facing totally different challenges.

No doubt that both are in prime position to finish in one of the four play-off positions but A1, who face Lady Bucks, have the momentum whereas KCC, with Magic Stormers in their sights, are struggling to find new character.
Coach Hamza Nyambogo’s A-1 put up a commendable defensive performance last Friday to defeat KCC thereby stretching their winning streak to 13.

“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime,” said Maggie Nalubega.

The loss of Flavia Oketcho seems to have hit KCC hard as they already lost to the top two contenders, A-1 and UCU Lady Canons.
Timothy Odeke, who doubles as KCC and Nkumba Marines coach, has a long evening to either enjoy or sob. Injury-ravaged Marines play rejuvenated KCC Lions in the men’s division one.

Odeke’s situation hasn’t changed that much from seven days ago as Peter Nyoroto, Danson Ngati, Philip Wakimwero, Ladsilas Ikungura and Julius Lutwama continue to play through pain barriers.
