RWANDA : APR lions storm semis
By Timothy Muvunyi
APR’s indomitable lions stormed the semi-final of this year’s Memorial tournament in style after an emphatic 106-58 win over Kigali Institute of Education (KIE). It was their second win at the tournament after Saturday’s 62-49 win against CSK.
“Despite using our string players, we still put on good show and hope to finish off the job next week,” APR’s Kenyan coach Cliff Owuor said.
CSK regrouped to pull off 61-55 and 72-58 wins over a select side and KIE while UNR crashed out after back to back defeats against debutants KBC 47-95 and UGB 56-70.
