THIS year’s basketball league has been pushed forward by an extra week. The decision was made after clubs’ failure to adhere to the registration deadline. The league will now throw off on February 22 as opposed to February 15.

“We have been forced to postpone the start-off date because of delays in registration. They now have until February 2 to register,” said Innocent Karuhije, technical director of the national basketball federation (Ferwaba).
