21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women : Cameroon took 7th spot, beat Madagascar 66-61 points

Antananarivo (21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women) – Lioness of Cameroon Sunday defeated host of the 21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women by 66-61 points to finish the championship as the seventh best team in Africa women basketball.

The Cameroon rallied to a 16-09 points win in the first quarter while the Madagascans determined not to let their teeming fans down fought back to pick the second quarter with a 21-15 points victory to reduce the margin to just one point of 31-30 at the break.

But more determination on the part of the Cameroonian saw them through the third quarter which they won by 22-17 points, the points margin created in the third quarter was enough to give them victory as the the Madagascan could only manage a 14-13 points slim victory in the last quarter.

Cameroon Alina Senken led the floor with double double scores of 22 points and 16 rebounds while her compatriot Vivianne Noah added 12 points and 10 rebounds to secure victory for their side.
