UGANDA : Ndejje out to shock Warriors
Sande Bashaija
Kampala
Today at YMCA
Heaters v MBC Rocks 5.30pm
Warriors v Ndejje 8.30pm
Women
Mak Sparks v Lady Bucks 7pm
Warriors have lost only once this season but should turn up prepared for their second loss when they come up against Ndejje University Angels in an MTN-Fuba League encounter at YMCA Wandegeya today, the latter’s coach has said.
“I know they will come out ready to have a walk in the park but that won’t be the case. We are ready to shock them,” coach Walker Obedi told Daily Monitor yesterday.
Despite being newcomers in the men’s topflight this season, Ndejje have had a nice ride and remain hopeful of grabbing a place in the play-offs. They are currently fifth and need to displace one of the top four teams to make the post-season. “It’s just amazing how this young team have coped with life against the big boys. At first, our goal was to fight relegation, but now we are targeting the play-offs,” Obedi said.
