FIBA Africa Zone-III Qualifiers: Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire in battle for supremacy
Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire will start the race for that made it to the final round of the 21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women slated for Madagascar on Monday and Tuesday at the sports hall of the national stadium, Lagos.
Both countries are the only two countries out of the eight nations that made-up the zone to fight for the zone’s sole ticket to Madagascar in what looks likes ‘Battle for Supremacy’ in a two-legged encounter.
Nigeria is parading a mixture of tested and young but determined players led by former captain, Mfon Udoka against the young and enterprising Ivories side.
Other player on the Nigeria line-up includes, Rashidat Sadiq, Vivian Ewalefo, Funmilayo Ojelabi, Magdalene Ukato, Nkechi Akashili, Vera Angwe, Chioma Udeaja, Tamuno Whyte, Ekebo Ima-Obong, Amaka Adibeli and Ijeoma Uchendu
The two-legged games between both sides come on Monday and Tuesday at 17.00 hours local time.
Ines Engama is the official FIBA technical official in-charge of the qualifiers.
