Basketball in Africa

Former East and Central African champions, Vijana, clash against their archrivals JKT today in the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball Kili league final at the indoor stadium.
Vijana booked a place in the final after defeating Savio in three matches of their semi final. On the other hand, JKT mauled Tanzania Prisons in two straight victories to sail through to the final.

Other teams which featured in the league were; Oilers, ABC, UDSM, PT Stars, Pazi, Crows and Hoop Life (men). Women teams were Jeshi Stars, JKT Stars, Don Bosco Lady Lions and Cargo Ladies.
