KENYA : Shimba Hills won the title

Humiliated Bura Girls

In girls’ basketball, Shimba Hills won the title for the first time in the history of the school with a humiliating 113-34 win over Bura Girls in the finals after leading 59-16 at the break.

Susan Akinyi returned from injury to lead the scorecard with 38 points while Purity Odhiambo and Fatma Mohamed contributed 35 and 23 points respectively while Peter Tadencia scored 18 points for Bura Girls.

As expected, Taita Taveta dominated the decathlon heptathlon and cross country titles and will send a majority of the athletes for the national championships in Embu.
