UGANDA : Champions Power, Miracle chasing former MVP Blick

Two-time MTN-Fuba League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Norman Blick is making a return to local basketball. Blick is set to join either champions Sadolin Power or Miracle Eagles for the season beginning at the end of next month.
“My target is to play in the Africa Zone 5 tournament and Power are to represent Uganda. That’s my biggest motivation. But Miracle are also a good side and have ambition,” Blick told Daily Monitor yesterday.
Blick led Nkumba Marines to back-to-back league championships in 2005 and 2006. After an unsuccessful 2007 season that saw Marines finish fifth, Blick together with his brother Donald Blick, sought a transfer to KCC Leopards, but the move was blocked by Nkumba.
“I got frustrated after the transfer fell through. That’s why I left the country for UK (United Kingdom),” Blick, who returned last month added. “I didn’t want to stay here and watch people playing.” He was MVP in 2001.
