By Suleiman Jongo
Former East and Central Africa champions, Vijana (City Bulls) sustained their winning momentum in the on-going RBA Kili League with a 61-55 win over Chui last weekend.
The match, which was held at the National Indoor Stadium saw Vijana, who are also the league's reigning champions, dominating most parts of the first half.
It was their second win in the league --having beaten PTW Stars 51-49 in the opening round.
Meanwhile, former champions Savio revived their hopes of winning the title after walloping Oilers 57-47 in a see-saw match held at the same venue on Sunday.
In the women's category, JKT Stars outsmarted Cargo Ladies 59-34.
The league has been organized by the Basketball Dar es Salaam (BD) and sponsored by the Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) through their Kilimanjaro beer.
The money-spinning league, which is played every weekend, has risen in popularity within the country and the East and Central African region.
