TANZANIA : Kili RBA last eight line-up completed

Former East and Central Africa champions Vijana "City Bulls" will face Army Basketball Club (ABC) in the quarterfinals of the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball (RBA) Kili League set to start on February 7.

The two giants are among six teams that qualified for the super eight (quarterfinals) after performing well in the first round of the money-spinning league.

According to fixtures released by the organisers, Basketball Dar es Salaam (BD), JKT will face Chui while the Tanzania Prisons will be up against Oilers and Pazi will play Savio.
The match between Vijana, who are the reigning champions and the army-owned club, ABC, is expected to be tough and exciting owing to their popularity.

Vijana will be relying on the services of their key players like Abdallah Ramadhani (Dulla), who happened to play for Seychelles� Cobra during his professional career.

Their opponents, ABC will also be utilizing the services of their talented players like the league�s Most Valuable Player (MVP), Filbert Mwaipinga and a three-point wizard, Haleluya Kavalambi, who also doubles as a good netballer.

According to the standings, JKT are leading the Eastern Conference Group with 12 points and are followed by the Tanzania Prisons with ten points. ABC are third with nine points and have one formality match in hand to play against Mgulani set for February 1.

Pazi have eight points in the group with one match to spare against JKT ( set for February 1)

The Western Conference group is led by Savio on 12 points followed by Oilers with 11 points. Vijana are third with ten points and Chui are the last with nine points.
