TANZANIA : DB Lioness maul Police 64-31 in Kili RBA ladies encounter

Amina Ahmed yesterday steered Don Bosco Lioness to hefty 64 -31 victory over Police Dar es Salaam in a one-sided Kili RBA League encounter at the National Indoor Stadium.
The hard fighting lady scored 16 points for the winners followed by her team mate Nina Mliga who posted 14 points.
In the first quarter, DB Lioness ladies finished 20-8 points and extended their lead to 31-18 at the end of the first half.
The winners added 33 more points in the second half compared to 13 points Police garnered in the two remaining quarters.
Police's Aisha Sembuli scored eight points while her team mate Neema Emanuel managed to post seven points.
Until yesterday, five teams were sure of their places in the league's quarter final stage following their impressive show in the three preliminary matches.
The teams include the defending champions Vijana City Bulls, Savio, JKT, ABC and Tanzania Prisons.
Savio have won all their matches while ABC, Vijana and Prisons lost one match each.
Organised by the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball Association (DB) under the sponsorship of Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) the league continues today at the same venue with five matches on the fixture.
