GHANA : 2009 " A brighter Year for Ghana Basketball Association".
by Isaac kwapong)
2008 came with the same challenges for the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) as every year but 2009 looks to be better than previous years. Now that 2008 is over and 2009 has begun the GBBA looks to get itself on a good start inorder to have a better ending. This year will be full of basketball activities right from January 2009 to December 2009. This year the GBBA will be doing its best to get involved in most of the basketball activities through out the nation from school basketball to club basketball. GBBA will also be looking at a better organisation of its administration, management as well as its national teams. GBBA in 2009 has set out to influence basketball activities positively when they are not on the organising side, by running clinics for referees, coaches and teams before and after competitions and also this year the GBBA will be taking up the task of starting its database of players, coaches, referees and competitions through out the Ghana. Statistics from school competitions, club competitions as well national game competitions is on the to do list of the GBBA hence getting more technical information on competitions for a better administration and management as well as providing more information to followers of Ghana basketball both locally and international. Followers of Ghana Basketball should look out for the Ghana Basketball Association official website this year as well as some monthly newsletters. All who will wish to help or support the Ghana Basketball Association in anyway can contact me on dather20@hotmail.com and i will be glad to assist in your course to helping our beloved National Federation 'GBBA. I will also like to take this opportunity to wish all basketball editors of Eurobasket a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
