23rd Champions Cup for men: Union Bank crushed Back 91 - 71


Union Bank (Nigeria) recorded its first victory today after crushing Back 91 – 71 in Day 1 delayed games of Group B of the 23rd Africa Champions Cup for men, played in Sousse, Tunisia.
Union Bank won the three first quarters (24 – 15, 20 – 18 and 30 – 14) before trailing 17 – 24 in the last quarter.
Arturo Nouha of Union Back poured the high game 22 points followed by his teammate Ovaro Michel with 20 points while Papa Kesse poured 16 points.
Back’s side, Conde Sekou poured 14 points; Keita hit 13 points while Gueye and Savane scored 10 points each.
Union Bank record two defeats and one victory while Back is still looking for a first victory after three games.
