APR have to win their last two group games to progress to the quarter-finals of the 14th Fiba-Africa Women Club Championships.

The Rwandan giants will bank on their compelling win against Uganda’s KCC Leopards when they take on Ivory Coast’s CSA and V-Club of DR. Congo today and tomorrow respectively.

After a poor start characterized by back to back defeats against Kenya Port Authority and defending champions Desportivo, the national league champions bounced back in style with a well deserved 81-61 win over KCC.
Kavedzija Veceslav, APR’s coach will now look to his utility player Patience Ndandi and Jocelyne Muhongerwa for results. The pair has been outstanding for the army side in the tournament.
In APR’s opening game against KPA, the army side looked set for a positive result before Ndandi got fouled out and recently, Muhongerwa masterminded APR’s first win in the competition with a game high 30 points against KCC.

KCC are a wild card entry into the championships after a last minute withdrawal of Sonatra of Mozambique.

The championship which started last Thursday and ends on Saturday attracted twelve clubs; seeded into two groups A and B.
