14th Champions Cup for women: Radi bow to First Bank 66 - 76
First Bank of Nigeria struggled for grip before beating Radi of DR Congo 76-66 in a rough encounter counting for Group A day 4 of the 14th FIBA Africa Champions Cup for women at the Nyayo National stadium gymnasium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Nigerians led 18-19 and 18-14 in the first two quarters but trailed 20-19 and 23-21 in the last two in this was a pool A showdown.
Joyce Ewokorokwo connected for 17 and Chiona Udeaji scored 20 for First Bank.For Radi’s side, Massau Kalanga hit 16 and Mukosa Nyota 14 while Matunda Masiawa and Mugamza Nyoka each made 11.
