14th Champions Cup for women: APR overcome KCC 81 – 61
APR of Rwanda signed its first win after beating KCC of Uganda 81 – 61 in the first game counting for the Group B day 3 of the 14th FIBA Africa Champions Cup for women at the Nyayo national Stadium Gymnasium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda’s side of KCC started the game by wining the two first quarters (13 – 11 and 18 – 12) and reach the break with a 31 – 23 lead.
At the resume, APR led by Muhongerwa Jocelyne woke up and won the two last quarters (25 – 11 and 33 – 19) and won the game with 20 points margin.
The best scorer of the game was Muhongerwa Jocelyne of APR with 30 points followed by her teamates Sine Alice who poured 15 points. KCC’s side, Nakiwu Annet recorded 14 points while Hamala Miriam poured 13 points.
APR record its first win after two defeats against respectively KPA (43 – 44) and Desportivo (88 – 41)
KCC Leopards lost two games in row and will fight against CSA of Côte d’Ivoire tomorrow for Day 1 complete.
