RWANDA : Marine, APR Collide
by Julius Mbaraga
Kigali
Cliff Owuor knows that his 100% record in the National basketball League is under threat today as his indomitable lions wander in Marine's backyard.
The reigning champions have been second best to APR and know that this is their chance to hit back at the 2006 champions who are gunning for their twelveth win on the trot. Both clubs have assembled strong sides in what is expected to be a gripping contest.
APR had the better of Marine in the first round after a comprehensive 74-54 win. In the other day's clashes, Rusizi are also expected to host Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) while United Basketball Generation (BUG) is away to National University of Rwanda.
Tomorrow, Marine host Espoir while BUG travels to Rusizi.
In the ladies' league, Group c leaders ISAE have two games on cards. They host St. Vincent Muhoza today and Rubavu tomorrow.
